I don't have time to write about this gig. This slight continues a curious pattern. Even though I've seen Shonen Knife perform two or three times, I've failed to publish a word about the punked-up pop trio. That's a shame, as the ladies always put on a wonderful show. But of course, after forty-five years as a band, I'm not sure I could say anything revelatory about the stalwarts anyway. The opener, then, Vancouver's The Pack A.D., is probably the act that I'm wronging. Still, this garage rock duo has been around twenty years, and they're not exactly a new band desperate for a lift from a two-bit web rag like Too Much Rock. All that asside, I can't shake the feeling that I'm doing them wrong by not detailing the twosome's set of fuzzy, stomping rock. But like I said, there's just no time. So here are some photos and video from the night. They should go well with this apology.
